1516 - Quinsigamond Combined Sewer Overflow Storage & Treatment Facility Upgrade

 The project scope generally includes:

a.       Removal of four existing sodium hypochlorite feed pumps (air operated diaphragm type) and associated suction, discharge, flushing water and vent piping, and concrete equipment pads and replacement with two new sodium hypochlorite feed pumps (hose pump type) with local control panels and associated new suction, discharge, flushing water and vent piping.

b.       Removal of two existing sodium bisulfite feed pumps(air operated diaphragm type) and associated suction, discharge, flushing water and vent piping and replacement with two new sodium bisulfite feed pumps (hose pump type) with local control panels and associated new suction, discharge, flushing water and vent piping.

c.       Removal of three existing ORP sensors and transmitters for treatment process monitoring with associated sample vessels and replacement with two residual chlorine analyzers and one residual bisulfite analyzer for treatment process monitoring and modifications to sample and drain piping.

d.       Removal of two existing high pressure compressors and associated air receiver, inlet and discharge piping, condensate drain piping, valves, instrumentation and concrete equipment pads.

e.       Removal of miscellaneous sample and flushing piping.

f.        Removal of air compressor motor starters in the existing MCC and the installation of a new power panel to power the new chemical feed pumps and accessories.

g.       Instrumentation and electrical work to monitor and control all new equipment as shown on the Drawings.

All include painting, miscellaneous repairs and rehabilitation and any other related work necessary to complete all of the Work of the respective Sections and indicated on the drawings. The Work is further described in Section 01010. The Work shall be substantially completed no later than 180 calendar days after the date this contract is executed and final completion of the Work of this Agreement shall be no later than 60 days after the date of substantial completion.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE - The pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the project site, 60 Quinsigamond Avenue, Worcester, MA 01610 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a brief overview and tour of the plant and construction areas.  It is recommended that all Bidders attend this meeting.
