| Bid Description | Due to unanticipated underground conditions at the proposed garage site, the WRA will re-evaluate the current design approach and modify the scope of the project. Therefore, the WRA is hereby cancelling the current trade bids for the project. Similarly, the original trade bidder qualifications packages, received on December 27, 2019, is cancelled and a new pre-qualification process will be conducted upon determination of the revised project cost and modified specifications. The pre-qualification process will be publicly announced as required under state statute as soon as possible. NOTE: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR - ELEVATORS, PLUMBING & ELECTRICAL HAVE BEEN POSTPONED. FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE FORTHCOMING Request for Proposals - Worcester Ballpark Parking Structure Project Description: The project scope generally consists of constructing a new four-level precast concrete parking garage with a capacity of approximately 522 cars on property south of Madison Street on Green Island Boulevard (currently under construction) in Worcester, MA. The proposed parking garage project is located in a former industrial area that is a designated urban development zone. The Project is composed on multiple bid packages, including civil/site enabling work, foundations, precast concrete, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, etc. The project will be subject to the minimum wage rates set under the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws. The total estimated cost of the Project is approximately $24,000,000, with a construction schedule duration of approximately twelve (12) months. Trade Bids will be required for the Work of the following sub-trades: MASONRY (Pre-Qualified) MISCELLAENOUS AND ORNAMENTAL IRON (Pre-Qualified) WATERPROOFING, DAMPPROOFING AND CAULKING (Pre-Qualified) ROOFING AND FLASHING (Pre-Qualified) PAINTING (Pre-Qualified) ELEVATORS (Pre-Qualified) FIRE PROTECTION (Pre-Qualified) PLUMBING (Pre-Qualified) HVAC (Pre-Qualified) ELECTRICAL (Pre-Qualified) Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the Gilbane/Hunt Site Office (Trailer Complex), 10 Green Island Boulevard, Worcester, MA 01604. Construction site entrance off of Madison Street (south of Madison). The pre-bid meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow morning, April 3, at 9:00 AM is being moved to an online format due to the shutdown of the Polar Park project site for the COVID-19 situation. Gilbane/Hunt will be issuing an invitation for the online meeting shortly; please be on the lookout for it and respond.
